Gaming Mouse Guide: Shape, Sensor and Sensitivity

Find a mouse that suits your grip, hand size and play style with practical setup advice.

Fit comes first

Shape and size influence comfort more than many headline specifications. Palm, claw and fingertip describe common grips, but individuals often mix them. Try a shape if possible.

Sensor and sensitivity

DPI is a sensitivity setting, not a direct measure of quality. Choose a comfortable sensitivity and keep the surface clean; avoid acceleration settings that make movement unpredictable.

Wired or wireless

Modern low-latency wireless reduces cable drag but requires charging. Wired options avoid charging and can cost less. Leave enough desk space for broad movement.
